DEFINITION

Osteocalcin, also known as bone gamma-carboxyglutamic acid-containing protein, is a noncollagenous protein found in bone and dentin. In humans, the osteocalcin is encoded by the BGLAP gene.¹[2] Its receptor is GPRC6A.³
